The Rangers Ballpark at Arlington

2008 Schedule (MS Excel format)

To learn how to get involved, contact David Smith at ballparkdave@tx.rr.com.

NOTICE:  The dress code has changed - no more navy blue.  See below for details.

Overview

The AHSBBC's main fundraiser is the operation of two concession stands at all Texas Rangers home games.  The fair share for all band families is to work at least six (6) games per season.  Friends and neighbors of band families may participate as well.

Our hotdog stand serves jumbo dogs, cracked black pepper sausages with grilled onions, nachos, bottled water and bottled soft drinks.  Adults may also operate a portable beer concession if they desire [workers must hold a valid Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) certification to work the beer stand].

General Information

Ballpark Buddies

Feeling a little apprehensive about working at the ballpark? Not quite sure where to go or how to get there? Don’t let that stop you from getting involved. At your request, we will arrange to have one of our “seasoned veterans” meet you in the parking lot and take you on the 50-cent tour. Just let your manager know.

Split shifts

Can’t make it to the ballpark by report time? Have to leave early for other commitments? Lots of people don’t volunteer because they can’t make the early call time due to work or other obligations, or can’t stay for the entire game for the same reasons. This year, we’re going to try something new to try and accommodate everyone who wants to help – split shifts. That’s right, we’re going to try and match people who can get there early with people who can’t and let them split the shift. The early person opens and works the first part of the game; the late person stays until the end of the game. Be sure to let us know if this applies to you - Managers too!

The manager will contact you a day or two before game day and make arrangements to get you a hat and badge.

You may enter the ballpark at the Home plate entrance, on the northwest corner of the park or at the Employee entrance on the east side of the ballpark, near the stairwell just south of the Diamond Club entrance. Show your badge to the guard to gain entry.

No ice chests, backpacks, or large bags are allowed into the park.

Stand Location

Our hot dog stand is located on the main concourse, about mid-way on the south side of the ballpark – commonly known as “Home Run Porch”. It is right beside the Legends of the Game Museum.
